The Spirit Trailer

Check out : The Spirit Trailer

The Spirit chronicled the adventures of a masked crime-fighter who fought crime with the blessing of the city’s police commissioner Dolan, an old friend. Despite the Spirit’s origin as a detective named Denny Colt, his real identity was virtually unmentioned again and for all intents and purposes he was simply “The Spirit”. The stories ranged through a wide variety of styles, from straightforward crime drama and noir to lighthearted adventure, from mystery and horror to comedy and love stories, often with hybrid elements that twisted genre and expectations.

Will Tropic Thunder deliver?

I read a post over at FirstShowing, analyzing the recently released summer blockbusters and if they have lived up to the hype. They spoke about Iron Man, Speed Racer, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian & Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. A little recap:

“Iron Man was fantastic, Speed Racer was amazing (at least I think), Prince Caspian was great, and even Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was fun and entertaining. However, I think I’m alone in my thoughts this time. I know not everyone liked Speed Racer, most thought Prince Caspian was just okay, and plenty of you were let down by Crystal Skull”

I can only talk about two films as I have only seen two out of the four. Iron Man & Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Iron Man was good, not great in my opinion. It felt like a Batman Begins, after you watch it you feel a bit disappointed action wise but it was a nicely put together movie ( Well Acted etc.) but still needed more RAW action.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull; I also liked. I am not a big fan, up until January 2008 I have not seen any Indiana Jones’ movies. I decided to watch Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) I really enjoyed. But It has Shia Lebouf which I am a HUGE fan so I knew it would of at least been funny. It had it funny moment it dragged a little bit in middle and the ending was a bit off but overall a nice watch.

I think the first two have definitely delivered. I expect Tropic Thunder to deliver, I hope that they didn’t pull a Spider Man 2 and put all of the good scenes in the trailer. Check it out : Tropic Thunder Trailer.

“Check out TT : Tropic Thunder” : Shia Labeouf

Tuesday evening I was flicking through the channels and heard a nagging voice saying something about Shia Labeouf. I immediately took notice has I am HUGE fan of Shia ( Holes, Disturbia, Surf’s Up & TRANSFORMERS). So I went back and to my surprise it was 106th and Park. ( A show that has lost all value and meaning to me.) I saw a brand new stage that quite “Indie” out and Shia coming down and “hi-fiving” everyone. It felt a bit weird to see him one on 106th and Park. I listened to the little interview but quickly got flustered as I hate the hosts, so I left. Upon coming back Shia was coming back and he gave Tropic Thunder the nod. “Check out TT, Tropic Thunder” Funnily some person though he was talking about Transformers 2. Or was he?

Expected Cameo’s

Well Ben Stiller is now a A rated actor/producer and even director. (He’s directing Tropic Thunder). So we all know that he has some A list actor buddies that would love to come in and make a cameo in Tropic Thunder. Maybe it’s not as “kick-ass” as the Iron Man cameo in The Incredible Hulk but it still counts right.

1.) Tom Cruise ( more on his later)
